The Road Trip That Inspired a Lifetime Pinup Collection

In the late 1970s, a couple traveled across America in a converted van, documenting roadside culture, diners, and motels.

Along the way, they collected small pinup postcards from gas stations and souvenir shops. Each card reflected a different version of American identity—beach towns, desert highways, neon cities.

Years later, the husband commissioned a full custom pinup series based on their journey: each artwork representing a stop along their trip.

Why This Became Personal History

Pinup art became a visual diary of American travel and memory.
